Polyester sunshades can be custom-made in different shapes and sizes according to specific needs. It is not recommended to have polyester sunshades larger than 20 m2 or with side lengths exceeding 5 meters. The warranty is void for shades larger than 20 m2. An alternative is to use multiple smaller sunshades to cover a large area.
The polyester sunshade is UV-resistant and highly water-repellent, providing shade and protection against the sun. It has a weight of 200 g/m2.
UV Protection
Polyester sunshades have a UV value of 80 and are certified according to the UV-801 standard. This means that they block 98% of the sun.
Rain and Wind
The shade is 90% waterproof and can withstand light rain. It is recommended to give it a slight slope so that water can run off and not accumulate on the shade. The sunshade should be taken down in the evening and in winds exceeding 5 on the Beaufort scale, which corresponds to a fresh breeze with speeds of 8.0-10.7 m/s or 29-30 km/h.
